The RealReal, an authenticated online luxury consignment store, filed on Friday with the SEC to raise up to $100 million in an initial public offering.
The company is led by CEO Julie Wainwright, who founded the company in 2011. Prior to that, she served as CEO of SmartNow.com (2008-2011), Bellamax (2003-2006), and Pets.com (1999-2001), including during its 2000 IPO.
The San Francisco, CA-based company was founded in 2011 and booked $230 million in sales for the 12 months ended March 31, 2019. It plans to list on the Nasdaq under the symbol REAL. The RealReal filed confidentially on April 8, 2019. Credit Suisse, BofA Merrill Lynch and UBS Investment Bank are the joint bookrunners on the deal. No pricing terms were disclosed.
