We are a blank check company. Our sponsor is a newly incorporated Cayman Islands exempted company, formed by SHUAA Capital (“SHUAA Capital”). SHUAA Capital, established in 1979, is publicly listed on the Dubai Financial Market stock exchange and currently operates two key business segments: asset management and investment banking. SHUAA Capital is a leading asset management and investment banking platform in the Middle East region, with approximately $13 billion in assets under management. It is recognized for its strong track record and pioneering approach to investing through a differentiated, innovative and global product offering focused on public and private markets, debt and real estate. It also provides investment solutions to clients, with a focus on alternative investment strategies. While we may pursue an acquisition or a business combination target in any business, industry, or geography, we intend to focus our search on a target (our “Target Business”) with business, or prospective operations within the technology space (“tech”) across the high growth markets of the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey region (collectively, “MENAT”, or our “Target Market”). The search for the Target Business will be tech-focused and sector-agnostic allowing us to fundamentally leverage new and growing trends within the tech sector and access companies that are targeting key areas for change within traditional business sectors.
