Ajax I is a newly incorporated blank check company. Ajax was established by our founding partners, Daniel Och and Glenn Fuhrman, and intends to pursue investment opportunities with companies that have defensible business models, large and growing end markets, and superior unit economics. We believe Ajax is uniquely positioned given our founders’ multi-decade track record of market-leading returns as investors, operational and organizational business building experience, and powerful global networks. In addition to our seasoned management team, we have assembled a strong group of strategic board advisors, all of whom are founders and operators of generation-defining companies in our target sectors. The board is comprised of Kevin Systrom (Instagram Co-Founder and former CEO), Anne Wojcicki (23andme Co-Founder and CEO), Jim McKelvey (Square Co-Founder) and Steve Ells (Chipotle Founder and former CEO). We are focused on market leaders with world-class management teams, deep competitive moats, large addressable markets, and attractive unit economics. We prefer targets that have low sensitivity to macroeconomic factors, with minimal cyclicality risk and strong fundamentals. We will seek companies in a wide range of industries, but our primary focus will be on businesses that operate within the internet, software, financial technology and consumer industries.
