Build Acquisition Corp. is a newly incorporated blank check company. While we may pursue a target in any industry, sector or geography, we intend to focus on companies in the fast-growing universe of software and technology-enabled services, with a primary focus on North American markets. Our sponsor is an affiliate of BuildGroup LLC, a technology-focused holding company based in Austin, Texas. BuildGroup Management, LLC (“BuildGroup”) is the investment manager of BuildGroup LLC. Consistent across BuildGroup’s investments is a focus on creating value through recurring revenue software while building data assets and leveraging networks. BuildGroup focuses on companies that drive stockholder value while also supporting their stakeholder ecosystems. BuildGroup believes this combination will play an important role in differentiating its portfolio companies from others, and we intend to use the same criteria when pursuing potential targets. A. Lanham Napier, our Chairman of the Board and Co-Chief Executive Officer, is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of BuildGroup LLC and BuildGroup, a member of the Board of Directors and Board of Managers of BuildGroup LLC and BuildGroup, respectively, and a member of the Investment Committee of BuildGroup.
