Renewable Energy Group files for a $100 million IPO

Renewable Energy Group, the largest producer of biodiesel in the United States, filed on Monday with the SEC to raise up to $100 million in an initial public offering. The Ames, IA-based company, which was founded in 1996 and booked $283 million in sales for the 12 months ended March 31, 2011, plans to list on the NASDAQ under the symbol REGI. UBS Investment Bank and Piper Jaffray are the lead underwriters on the deal. No pricing terms were disclosed.
