North American Financial Holdings, Inc., a US bank holding company with the goal of creating a regional banking franchise in the southeast, filed on Friday with the SEC to raise up to $300 million in an initial public offering. The Miami, FL-based company, which was founded in 2009 and booked $106 million in sales for the 12 months ended March 31, 2011, plans to list on the NASDAQ. Credit Suisse, BofA Merrill Lynch, and Goldman, Sachs & Co. are the lead underwriters on the deal. No pricing terms were disclosed.
