Milan Laser, which owns and operates more than 140 laser hair removal clinics in the US, withdrew its plans for an initial public offering on Friday. It originally filed in October 2021 with a proposed deal size of $100 million, and had not provided an update since the following November.

Milan Laser states that it is the largest company in the US that focuses solely on laser hair removal services, by both revenue and number of clinics. The company had 132 clinics across 23 states as of June 30, 2021, and has completed more than 500,000 treatments since 2017.

The Omaha, NE-based company was founded in 2012 and booked $142 million in revenue for the 12 months ended September 30, 2021. It had planned to list on the NYSE under the symbol MLAN. Goldman Sachs and Jefferies were set to be the joint bookrunners on the deal.
