Xueda Education Group, the largest provider of primary and secondary school tutoring services in China, filed on Friday with the SEC to raise up to $100 million in an initial public offering. The Beijing-based company, which was founded in 2001 and booked $116 million in sales for the 12 months ended June 30, plans to list on the NYSE under the symbol XUE. Goldman Sachs (Asia) L.L.C. is the lead underwriter on the deal, for which pricing terms and timing were not disclosed. Xueda Education Group's filing follows the successfully completed pricings of two similar Chinese education companies in October: Global Education (GEDU) and TAL Education Group (XRS).
