Investment firm's SPAC Mountain & Co. I Acquisition files for a $200 million IPO

Mountain & Co. I Acquisition, a blank check company formed by Mountain Partners targeting the consumer internet and B2B digital infrastructure sectors, filed on Tuesday with the SEC to raise up to $200 million.

The Wilmington, DE-based company plans to raise $200 million by offering 20 million units at $10. Each unit consists of one share of common stock and one-half of a warrant, exercisable at $11.50. At the proposed deal size, Mountain & Co. I Acquisition would command a market value of $250 million.

The company is led by CEO and Director Cornelius Boersch and CIO Daniel Wenzel, the founders of international investment firm Mountain Partners, where they serve as Executive Chairman and COO, respectively. The company plans to target the technology landscape, focusing on the consumer internet and B2B digital infrastructure sectors.

Mountain & Co. I Acquisition was founded in 2021 and plans to list on the Nasdaq but has not selected a symbol yet (RC ticker: MCOU.RC). The company filed confidentially on June 14, 2021. Credit Suisse is the sole bookrunner on the deal.
