Demand Media, which is a leading global provider of online content and domain name registration services, filed on Friday with the SEC for its initial public offering. The Santa Monica, CA-based company, which was co-founded by previous MySpace Chairman Richard Rosenblatt in 2006, booked $221 million in sales for the 12 months ended June 30. Financial sponsors include Oak Investment Partners, Spectrum Equity and W Capital Partners. Goldman, Sachs & Co. and Morgan Stanley are the lead underwriters on the deal, for which pricing terms and timing were not disclosed.
