Life sciences company Complete Genomics files for a $86 million IPO

Complete Genomics, a life sciences company offering a DNA sequencing platform for human genome sequencing and analysis, filed on Friday with the SEC to raise up to $86 million in an initial public offering. The Mountain View, CA-based company, which was founded in 2005 and has yet to generate revenue, plans to list on the NASDAQ under the symbol GNOM. UBS Investment Bank and Jefferies & Co. are the lead underwriters on the deal. No pricing terms were disclosed.
