Oxford Resource Partners, L.P., a low cost producer of high value steam coal with 5.8 million tons produced in 2009, filed on Wednesday with the SEC to raise up to $250 million in an initial public offering. The Coshocton, OH-based company, whose founders formed predecessor Oxford Mining Company in 1985, booked $357 million in sales last year. The coal producer plans to list on the NYSE under the symbol OXF. Barclays Capital and Citi are the lead underwriters on the deal, for which pricing terms and timing were not disclosed.
