Generac Holdings, a private equity-backed manufacturer of standby generators, raised a lower-than-expected $244 million by offering 18,750,000 shares at $13 apiece. The Waukesha, WI-based company had originally planned to raise $325 million by selling 20,312,500 shares at a price range of $15 to $17. Generac Holdings will be listed on the NYSE under the symbol GNRC. J.P. Morgan and Goldman Sachs acted as lead managers on the deal.
