Western Asset Mortgage Capital Corporation, a newly formed mortgage REIT that plans to invest primarily in non-Agency RMBS, CMBS and other asset-backed securities, filed with the SEC for an initial public offering on Friday. The Pasadena,CA-based company, which was founded in June 2009, plans to list on the NYSE under the symbol WMC. Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank, and Citi are the lead underwriters on the deal. No pricing terms were disclosed.
