Leading credit/debit card provider Visa priced its 406 million share offering at $44 per share, 11% above the midpoint of the $37-$42 range, on Tuesday evening. The $17.9 billion offering size makes it almost 70% larger than the previous record U.S. IPO, AT&T Wireless. JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs were the lead underwriters on the deal. The stock is expected to begin trading on the NYSE under the ticker "V" on Wednesday.
