Chinese news aggregator app Qutoutiao files for a $300 million US IPO

Qutoutiao, a Chinese news and video aggregation app that provides custom feeds, filed on Friday with the SEC to raise up to $300 million in an initial public offering.

The Shanghai, China-based company was founded in 2016 and booked $163 million in sales for the 12 months ended June 30, 2018. It plans to list on the Nasdaq under the symbol QTT. Qutoutiao filed confidentially on March 9, 2018. Citi, Deutsche Bank, China Merchants Securities and UBS Investment Bank are the joint bookrunners on the deal. No pricing terms were disclosed.
