Bats Global Markets, which operates equities and options exchanges in the US and Europe, raised $253 million by offering 13.3 million shares at $19, the high end of the range of $17 to $19. All of the shares were sold by insiders. Bats Global Markets plans to list on its own BZX exchange under the symbol BATS. Morgan Stanley, Citi, BofA Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan acted as lead managers on the deal.
Bats is the first non-healthcare company to come public in the US this year.
