Globalstar prices IPO at midpoint of the range

Globalstar, a provider of mobile satellite services, priced 7.5 million shares at $17, the midpoint of its proposed range. The offering consisted of over 15% more shares than the 6.5 million shares the company was scheduled to offer. The stock is expected to begin trading on the NASDAQ on Thursday under the ticker GSAT. Wachovia and JP Morgan managed the deal.
