Smart & Final Stores, an Ares-backed warehouse-style grocery chain with 250 locations in the Western US, raised $161 million by offering 13.45 million shares at $12, the low end of the $12 to $14 range. Smart & Final Stores will list on the NYSE under the symbol SFS. Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, Barclays, Citi, Piper Jaffray and Guggenheim Securities acted as joint bookrunners on the deal.
