Diamondback spinoff Viper Energy Partners files for a $100 million IPO

Viper Energy Partners LP, a Permian Basin oil and gas E&P spun out of Diamondback Energy, filed on Wednesday with the SEC to raise up to $100 million in an initial public offering. The Midland, TX-based company, which was formed in September 2013 and booked $15 million in royalty revenue for the three months ended December 31, 2013, plans to list on the NASDAQ under the symbol VNOM. Viper Energy initially filed confidentially on March 21, 2014. Barclays is the sole bookrunner on the deal. No pricing terms were disclosed.
