Blank check company Global Defense & National Security Systems files for a $60 million IPO

Global Defense & National Security Systems, a blank check company focused on acquiring businesses in the government defense and security space, filed on Monday with the SEC to raise up to $60 million in an initial public offering. The Reston, VA-based company, which was founded in 2013, plans to list on the NASDAQ under the symbol GDEF. Cowen & Company are the sole bookrunners on the deal. No pricing terms were disclosed.
