Springleaf REIT, which owns a portfolio consisting primarily of residential real estate loans and secured consumer loans, withdrew its plans for an initial public offering on Friday. The company will pursue a public offering through its Springleaf Holdings entity, which submitted an initial filing this morning. The Evansville, IN-based company was founded in 1920 and initially filed for an IPO on May 13, 2011. The bookrunners on the deal had not been disclosed.
