Human cell manufacturer Cellular Dynamics sets terms for $50 million IPO

Cellular Dynamics International, which develops and manufactures functioning human cells in large quantities, announced terms for its IPO on Wednesday. The Madison, WI-based company plans to raise $50 million by offering 3.8 million shares at a price range of $12 to $14. At the midpoint of the proposed range, Cellular Dynamics International would command a fully diluted market value of $212 million.

Cellular Dynamics International, which was founded in 2004 and booked $8 million in sales for the 12 months ended March 31, 2013, plans to list on the NASDAQ under the symbol ICEL. Cellular Dynamics International initially filed confidentially on February 26, 2013. J.P. Morgan is the sole bookrunner on the deal.
