Marrone Bio Innovations files for a $60 million IPO

Marrone Bio Innovations, a producer of bio-based pest management and plant health products, filed on Monday with the SEC to raise up to $60 million in an initial public offering. The Davis, CA-based company, which was founded in 2006 and booked $8 million in sales for the 12 months ended March 31, 2013, plans to list on the NASDAQ under the symbol MBII. Marrone Bio Innovations initially filed confidentially in May 2012. Jefferies and Piper Jaffray are the joint bookrunners on the deal. No pricing terms were disclosed.
