Silver Bay Realty Trust, a newly organized REIT formed to acquire single-family properties in the US, raised $245 million by offering 13.25 million shares at $18.50, within the range of $18 to $20. Silver Bay Realty Trust plans to list on the NYSE under the symbol SBY. Credit Suisse, BofA Merrill Lynch and J.P. Morgan acted as bookrunners on the deal.
